Photoshop Elements 6 & Windows 10

My computer took a nose dive and I decided to purchase a new computer. I am trying to install my Photoshop Elements 6 on this new computer which has Windows 10. Keep keeping error stating I need to update my directx. It guided me to microsoft to install the updated directx but I am still having issues opening my photoshop. At this time I do not have the extra money to purchase the updated Photoshop Elements 15 so I was really hoping to continue using my PSE6.  Is there anyway around this for me to continue using the PSE6 until I scrap up enough monies after Christmas to get the new PSE15?

      Jeff, I followed the directions on your hyperlink and now my PSE6 does work. Thank you very much for this information. Windows 10 is all new to me and still exploring all the changes and layout of the Windows 10.  Thank you again.
