I have been using 7.0 for years and used it as recently as last week, but now it won't open properly. I tried to download a patch, but it didn't work. I know this is an old version, but I am not sure why it won't work all of a sudden.

Apologies for this inconvenience.

Request you to please restart your machine and see if it resolves the issue.

If not then please uninstall the application using Adobe CC cleaner tool, Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems , and install the application afresh and see if issue resolves.

Thanks,

Arshla

Is this only so that I can download an Adobe product through the Creative Cloud? I am trying to continue to use the product I have.

2nd paragraph in above link:

If you’re having trouble installing Creative Cloud apps, Creative Suite (CS3–CS6) apps, Photoshop Elements, or Adobe Premiere Elements, the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Cleaner Tool can help. Likewise, if you're unable to connect to Adobe servers, the Cleaner Tool can help by removing entries in your computer's host files that are blocking access to Adobe software and servers.
