photoshop elements 9 serial code never needed before

I have adobe photoshop elements 9 running on one of my computers. where do I find the serial code. It is not in 'About'. I don't have the disc anymore. I got the disc free when I bought my scanner many years ago. I want to install it on a computer I just updated to Siera.

I never registered it. Does Photoshop display the code anywhere wile open?

- page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

- when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer
