photoshop elements dropdown menus blank white

suddenly yesterday all the top drop down menus are blank and photoshop elements keeps shutting down. Ive tried everything I can think of and all the other forums talk about mac products and fixes. I am running windows so none of that helps me. anyone have a clue how to fix it without having to pay and rebuy the newer version? I only use it a few times a year so I would prefer not to have to spend more money on it.

    Can you please share you Photoshop Elements product version and the Windows OS version that you are currently using,

    To get the Windows OS version search for "winver" in your applications and share the screenshot of the same.
