Photoshop Elements & Mac OS Mojave

I bought a new MacBook Air with Mojave for the primary purpose of editing pictures. Now I have just found out that my version of Elements Version 11 will NOT work with my laptop. Is it just a matter of upgrading the Elements program to the newest or do I need to downgrade my operating system to be able to use the program? I'm desperate at this point and very disappointed.  Thanks in advance for any help.

    Thank you for your reply.  However, I went to the System Preferences and found my way to the Accessiblity tab. It would not allow me to check the box.  Any other advice? If I have to upgrade to Elements 2019 I would gladly do so to fix this problem.

    PSE 2019 should run fine on Mojave.

    Download and install the trial to be sure.
