Photoshop elements mug mockup issue (PSD file)

Question

Hi I purchased a smart file (PSD).When I double click on the smart layer icon, it wouldn't open. I have tried to add my design to the smart layer but it isn't wrapping around the mug. When I tried doing it in photopea it's working quite well.can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Mockups are made with photoshop. Your issue is common when anyone purchases a mockup designed in photopshop, but uses it in photoshp elements. you can use the image warp tool. Not the old warp tool, but the new one that came out with pse 2024. Let mer know if you need help with this.

WHAT I'VE DONE ON THE PAST: Using DAZ3D: Attach the image to a primitive shape suck as a cylinder, or an actual bottle- but that involves editing the material layer, or really know what you're doing-- I can't recommend that is this case.

What I can recommend: subscribe to photoshop--- mock ups just work.

PSE can only produce what I would label as "amature" results in this case.

The image belwos is not perfect- just a quick "proof of concept"
