Question

Photoshop Elements on MacBook - Crashing, saying no RAM available?

I had Adobe photoshop elements 10 on my PC. When I got my new MacBook, I uninstalled it on the PC and reinstalled it on my MacBook.

Now, when I'm using it, PSE often freezes and says I cannot open or save files because there is not enough RAM available.  This laptop is completely new and there is much memory available on it.

It has also crashed twice, making me lose my work completely and will not restore it.  I need photoshop for my job.  Not sure why this is happening when the same product did not have this happen on my PC.  What can I do?

Hi, I followed the steps this morning and it was working fine.  Now I am using photoshop again tonight and I have 3 files open and I'm getting the RAM error.  I closed everything and simply tried to open 1 file, still getting the error.

HI ,

Follow these steps.

1.Quit the application.

2.Go to /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Settings

3.Rename this folder to Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Settings_old

4. Now relaunch the application.
