Photoshop Elements Organiser 15 - Mac - Saved Files

I have recently had to import several thousand files from various cards/folders etc.  I changed the "Folders for Saved Files" option under Preferences / Files to the folder of the external drive where I now wished to store these.  This folder appears on the External drive with the media files in it but I cannot see this under the Folders in Organiser itself.  Can anyone give ideas where I can find this please?

If you have changed the location in prefs, that will only apply going forward e.g. to new edits when saved. You may need to import existing files copied from storage cards.

File >> Get Photos & Videos >> From Files & Folders

Use Ctrl+A (Cmd+A) to select all and click Open or Get Media.

When in the Folders tab, you can normally click the dropdown icon –see image below – to switch between list and tree view.

Thanks for your response but have already tried that and cannot see in either tree or list view.   It must be there somewhere but ...
