Photoshop Elements Organizer and Editor Problem

I am having issues with images in my Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer not being allowed to transfer to my Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.  When I choose one of my images and then click the editor icon below in Organizer, I get this pop up message....."Could not complete your reuest because the file is locked, you do not have necessry access permissions, or another program is using the file.  Use the 'Get Info' command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to acess the file.  If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder.  I have done all of these things and nothing is working.
