Photoshop Elements purchase from Dell

Hi,

I purchased a laptop from Dell and added Adobe photoshop elements. I've been promted to put in my redemption code 3 times because the product "is not licensed" and I am again being asked to enter the code today. Will I need to do this every time I use it, or can this problem be fixed? Why isn't it registering my product and remaining as so?

You use a redemption code once to get a serial number

Redemption Code https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/redemption-code-help.html

You use the serial number to register/activate the program

A serial number is 6 groups of 4 numbers
Such as 1234-5678-1234-5678-1234-5678

when I enter the redemption code I do not get a serial number.
