Photoshop Elements running very slow

Hi All

I have recently upgraded elements from 13 to 19 as it has always run so slow. I mainly use editor. After trouble shooting and doing everything recommended on these forums I upgraded hoping things would move a bit quicker but unfortunately its not, i'm using a Mac 10.14.2 system. It is increasingly frustrating and a 5 minute job in editor is taking hours, please any advice would be much appreciated as it seems you can not contact adobe about these issues. Thanks Alice

Please note all other apps/external drives etc have been turned off & removed whilst using photoshop and performance settings have been changed.
