Photoshop elements spontaneously becomes 30 day trial version

I have been using photoshop elements for several years. Yesterday when I opened it, I received a message that I was now on a 30 day trial. What's up with that?

That would indicate that you are using an older version and the security certificate used to sign the software and the activation has expired. That or there's a technical problem with the activation e.g. after a system update. Without more specific info like system details and what version of PSE we can't really tell you more than that.

It is an older version PSE 15 purchased in 2017 likely when I purchased this Dell computer. I was unaware that it could expire. I wonder what my options are? Would downloading it again from my Adobe account page solve the problem?

Hi,

Did you get Photoshop Elements 15 pre-installed with your Dell machine or did you purchase it seperately?

If you purchased it seperately, you can again acitivate using the serial key that you might have recieved.

If you do not have the serial number handy, the serial number should be associated with your Adobe ID which you used to use for login to Elements, so you can login to Adobe.com -> manage account and get your serial number from there.
