Photoshop Elements Upgrade

Hi,

I had been buy the photoshop elements 2023 from microsoft store, and I would like to ask if I buy the photoshop elements 2025 from adobe site and not from microsoft store, have I to buy it as an upgrade price or a new one?

This is straght from an Adobe FAQ page:

Does my purchase of Adobe software through the Microsoft Store qualify me for an upgrade discount?

Customers who purchased from the Microsoft Store can upgrade to current retail versions at a discounted upgrade price.

Navigate to http://www.store.adobe.com and find Adobe Photoshop Elements.

After clicking Buy, choose Upgrade and select the Microsoft Store product you are upgrading from within the pop-up menu of qualifying upgrade products.

There is currently no way to get an upgrade discount inside the Microsoft Store.

    I'm not sure whether a Microsoft Store license entitles you to a prior user upgrade discount if you buy from Adobe.  I suggest you contact Adobe Support.  You can start a chat session by going to the Contact Adobe Support page. (https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen) Make sure you are signed into your Adobe account and try typing Agent when the chat window opens. (If you use my link, the chat window should open automatically.)

     

    My guess is that you will be entitled to the discount.  And if that is the case, I would recommend that you purchase from Adobe since there are usually some minor (but annoying) differences between the Microsoft version and the Adobe version of the program.  Also, Microsoft Elements licenses are not updated at the same time as the official Adobe updates.
