Photoshop Elements Version 15 Organizer

I just upgraded from V13 to Photoshop Elements Version 15 Organizer and it works but the product keeps hanging up.  I have 22K photos in my single catalog.  I have a high end Alien Aurora R3 PC with 12GB of RAM and running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on Win 64 Bit OS.

After I let my catalog open and the software settles down, as soon as I do something the software goes into an UNRESPONSIVE behavior.

What can I do?

    Is People Recognition still running in your catalog?

    You can verify it through a text appearing on the status bar of Elements Organizer stating "Analyzing faces in your catalog : x% complete"

    If yes, please wait for the analysis to complete or you can turn it off from Edit > Preferences > Media Analysis

    Uncheck the option - Run Face Recognition Automatically.
