Photoshop/Elements will not open

When I open either Photoshop or Elements the launcher comes up, then when I click Organize/Photo Editor/Video Editor, it says its is Loading the Workspace then nothing happens.  The loading stops and no new screen comes up.  Just purchased this for the first time to help my daughter edit her videos yet I'm not able to do anything.  Please help!  Currently using Windows 10 and the 2020 versions.
