Photoshop will not work on new computer

I have a copy of photoshop elements purchased in 2021. It was installed on a MacMini M1. I purchased a new MacMini M2, and copied over all the files. Photoshop will not work on the new MacMini. It tells me that sign in is required but when I sign in with the correct credentials it does not log in, and simply tells me to sign in again. There is nothing in the help for this situation. I used the chat, but Priyanshu terminated the chat after I gave him the serial number. Can anyone resolve this?

For Adobe applications one must use the installer app to install the application.

Copying over the files rarely works.

If you need the photoshop elements 2021 installer you can get it from your Adobe user account as explained in this KB

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/downloaded-older-app.html

I believe you don't need to trash any of the copied files, just use the installer to replce the existing files.
