Places does not work with PSE20

First, I purchased PSE19 and a few months later I was forced to upgrade to PSE20 becuase I upgraded my Mac.  Now that I purchased PSE20 that is supposed to work with the 64 bit operating system, the PLACES feature does not work.  It worked once, but no longer will search for a place or let me drop a pin for a place.  I am tired of ADOBE forcing upgrades down your throat and then nothing but problems.  This isn't the first time.  I am wondering if anyone has a fix for PSE20, using an iMac (2020) to get the Places tags to work.
