Print in Editor locks program

Question

I have always printed from Editor which is quick when making small adjustments between prints. Now when I click on 'Print' in Editor the program freezes, I cannot procede and have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to close the screen. I can print from Organiser but switching back and forth with Editor is tiresome. I am not technical so expect there is nothing simple I can do to resolve this and restore things to the way I have worked for 15+ years. I'm using Windows 365 on a new powerful laptop and a new Pixma printer so feel that the problem lies with Photoshop Elements.

Anything easy I can do ? or should I just resign myself to the reduced functionality ?

What version of Elements are you using? Have you been able to use the Editor to print on your new computer with your new printer? If so, try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

If you have not yet been able to print with the Editor, try reinstalling the printer driver from the manufacturer.

And is your printer connected by wi-fi?
