Print problem with PSE8

I am using PSE8 with Windows 10. Suddenly within the last month I can no longer print an entire text document from Elements.

I have tried "crop to fit" and "Custom print, scale to fit media" but neither option works. What I get when I print is about 1/4 of the page in huge text size. The reason for text documents is that I do genealogy and download documents from various internet sites to Elements for enhancing before printing. I usually have to resize to an 81/2 X 11 size to print to standard size paper.

I know that printing directly from Elements worked well in the past and am wondering if this is an Elements/Windows 10 conflict. I hope someone can help.

    It is not entirely clear to me what the work flow is. PSE is not a text editor.

    It is safe to assume that the resolution of the downloaded documents have various values.

    Have you tried opening the text file(s) in WORD, then importing the enhanced picture file, then printing via WORD?

    No, but I have opened it with Windows Live Photo Gallery and print it from there without a problem. 

    Yes, the resolution of the documents vary. I do not edit any downloaded genealogy documents--that would defeat the purpose of having the document in an almost original form. What I try to do is resize, make the text more legible, etc., and then print it.

    Suggest that you reset preferences to default, as that may fix it.

    • Close Photoshop Elements.

    • Press and hold Ctrl Alt Shift (Mac: Cmd Opt Shift) and keep holding these keys as you restart Photoshop Elements.

    • When you get a dialog box that says: Delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file? you can let go of the keyboard keys and click Yes.
