Question

Printed Font Selection

I'd love to have a printed version of text fonts that are installed on my Photoshop Elements 18. That way, I can see how those fonts look when printed and in a larger font.

I've searched online for how to print those fonts myself or download a printable list without any luck

Do a Google search on "font lister".  There are many downloadable programs out there where you can print font samples. Some are paid, some free, some free but asking for donation. Two of these were already mentioned in this discussion.

I use this excellent utility Printers Apprentice

On the mac side one can print a list of all fonts directly from the Font Book.app

I ran across this:

Print My Fonts

I haven't tried it, but it might be what you want.

  1. Open the Editor, Expert tab
  2. Go to File>New>blank file and set the dimensions to the size of your paper, resolution=240px/in, background:white
  3. Set the foreground color chip to black
  4. Activate the Type tool. In the drop-down select one of the system fonts and select the pt size
  5. Type a message.
  6. Repeat steps 4&5 with another font, and any other to suit.

Note that the fonts are not installed in PSE. The program utilizes the system fonts.

Thanks for responding to my question. I'll try your suggestion. However,

I'm surprised I can't simply download a list of font examples and print

them out.
