Printing in Monochrome gives a Magenta overtone to grey scales

Printing a file converted to B&W in Elements 15 on my Epson Artisan 1430 printer gives grey scales a magenta overtone. Print in Grey Scale does the same. No matter what corrections I do, grey tones show a Magenta overtone.

This does not happen when I print via Microsoft Paint.

Any help or advice would be welcome.
