Problem accessing photoshop editor fro Elements 13

I have been using photoshop elements 13 organizer and editor for a number of years and have upgraded when notified.  Now, when I attempt to edit photos by clicking on the photo editor button, the editor icon shows and I get the tool bar, but the photo does not appear in the edit mode.  It stays on the Organizer screen with an "Edit in Process" banner.  Any suggestions?

    I figured out the problem.  The window for the editor had somehow dropped to the bottom of my screen and was hidden by the icons.  I merely had to bring the window up to view the editor screen.  Pretty dumb of me.
