Problem creating Frames in Elelments 2021

I have Elements 2021 and since trialling Elements 2026 , it seems a lot of settings in 2021 have gone haywire. The most annoying one is that I can't create a white photo frame in Expert mode (I don't like the Quick edit frames, they're too big for my liking). I can do a black one, but for some reason a white frame just doesn't appear (the frame folows all colours of the image), I've played around with the settings but can't get it to work (and yes I've googled and tried about 4 different options, with no success)....so I would appreciate any help.
