Problem importing pictures from DSLR to PSE 2019 on Windows 8.1

using pse 2019, version 17(20180830.m.125874) on a windows 8.1 suddenly cannot import any pictures from my dslr camera

oly$%34, I have moved your post to a new thread as you filed yours in one with a different subject.  I have also edited the subject line.  Hopefully, you will find your way back to this thread.

 

Are you talking about opening a raw file in the Editor or importing files into the Organizer.  Either way, do you have a new DSLR camera?  If so, Elements 19 may not support your camera raw files and will not open them in the Editor or import them to the Organizer. 

If this is not your problem, we need more details from you.  Did this just happen?  Are you getting any error messages?
