Problem in viewing slide shoe in Elements 2020

When playing slide show in Elements 2020 the monitor screen goes black when I cease playing I can see the photo which the was on when I ceased the slide show

What OS are you using?  And what are the specifications of your computer?

Has this always been the case, or is it something that has just started?

Does the slideshow always show black when you hit the Play button, or only on certain media?

Have you updated your graphics card drivers lately?

 

In Edit>Preferences>General, what setting do you have for using the graphics processor for video playback?

 

Try changing the setting.
