Problem with PSE 6 on Win XP

I have an ancient XP machine with PSE6 installed. It hasn't been used in years, but I am fairly sure that i have a bunch of old family photos locked up in PSE6. It is asking for a serial number before it will allow me to open the installed version, but the install disk and box are long gone.

Is there any way to get to the photos? If memory serves i have to export all of the photos from PSE6 to transfer them.

Any advice appreciated.

This may all be moot. Were photo files kept in PSE6 or kept separately? If separately i probably have them already. In that case i don't need to unlock the file.

If needed, is it possible to buy a license for the program? Thanks for your help.

The photo-files are on your hard drive where you put them, most likely C drive. Photoshop Elements does not store the files. The organizer, if you populated it, just points to the files as an index.

Note that this version of the program is no longer supported by Adobe.

Thanks Arshla. Unfortunately that doesn't work for me. I don't know when I bought it, but i'm guessing 10+ years ago.  I don't even remember what email I was using at the time. i have lived in 5 different cities over the last 12 years and changed email several times.
