Problem withe slide show project on Elements 10

Bonjour, I started a project last year to create a slide show of my sons early life. I stored the project on my catalogue. For the first few visits to modify the project, adding and arrangong the slides was fine, there are perhaps 300 slides. A recent visit threw me. I opened the project and 90% of the slides were blank. What can I do?
