Problems installing PSE7

Question

Hello!

Recently I have been trying to download Photoshop elements 7 onto a new laptop but it doesn't have a disc slot, so I downloaded it from Adobe's site. When I go to input the serial number that came with the disc, it tells me it is invalid.

I know that you can only have it on two computers, but as far as I am aware I have uninstalled it on every computer (besides my main) so I don't think there is an issue there. Is it possible to find out how many computers PSE is installed on? It could be possible that I missed it.

Otherwise; any suggestions/recommendations on what to do about this??

Hi,Unfortunately, for PSE 7, the serial number that came with the CD will not work with a downloaded version - not sure why Adobe did that.Your best option is to copy the contents of the CD on to a memory stick on a PC with a CD drive. Then you can install on to you laptop from the memory stick. Your serial number should then work.Brian
