Process Multiple Files - run in background

I recently upgraded from PSE9 to PSE2020 on my mac.

When using "process multiple files" in PSE9 it would run in the background. in PSE2020, the program keeps bringing itself to the front each time it opens a new image and this means that I cannot do anything else on the machine while processing as PSE keeps popping up over anything else I try to do.

Is there a setting to run "process multiple files" in the background and indicate when finished?
