PS Elements 13 Registration Woes

I am hoping for community help with a registration issue.  I just bought a new laptop and wanted to install Elements 13 (yes, 13).  I have the disks and S/N.  The install went fine.  When i try to register, i am prompted to launch the Editor.  It gives me a link to the Adobe web site to enter UserID and password.  That works fine as my UID and PW are accepted.  Then it kicks me right back to the pop-up saying I have to launch Editor to register.  It's an endless loop.

Running Win11 on a Dell laptop using PSE13 software.

Thank you

Did you ever get this sorted?  I have PSE13 and want to go to new laptop. My adobe account does not show my serial number. After I install the product it askes me to register, which I do so. The Serial number never sticks, si I dodn't think deregistering will work. Anyone sucessfully done this?

Sadly i did not.  I tried everything mentioned and the new laptop would still go through the endless loop.  Adobe even pushed me a new installation exex and it went through the endless loop.

I mostly used PSE13 for a file manager.  I'd ocassionally be in to editting as a hobby, but that has waned a bit.  Meanwhile i moved to TonFotos for indexing and cataloging.

Unless you have previously installed the program on two machines, the loop is not being generated because of too many activations. Even if you deactivate on your other machine, you may still run into the endless loop you are having now.  If that happens, try activating offline by following the instructions found here.

I'm home now and still struggling.  I signed out of PSE13 on old computer.  I'm still in an endless loop trying to activate on the new computer.  I cannot try the manual method because I do not have the "I Agree" button.  (See Screenshot)

Why does this have to be so darn difficult?

I may have answered my own question after sifting through similar Q&A here.  I think I need to deactivate PSE on the old computer (At work at the moment so i cannot do it).

Yes, that is correct.   Many do not deactivate / logout of the program (which deauthorizes it on thatcomputer).   Many also do not have a chance to deactivate it (Like when a HArd drive suddenly goes bad).

I have all versions from 10 to 25 installed, and often unistall and einstall them- I always have logged out / deauthorized before I uninsall it.

Hi , I've moved your post from the Photoshop forum to the Photoshop Elements forum where you are more likely to get help with your issue.
