In right top corner of thumbnail their is a symbol of a music note. If you click on it the dialogue box title is RelatedSound. I want to get rid of it. There is no sould associated with these photos. I cannot figure out how to delete it. Any ideas?

Correct answer Greg_S.

In the dialog box that opens when you click on the music note icon:

  • Go to the Edit menu and click on Clear
  • Then go to the File menu and click on Close.
  • An option should appear asking Would you like to save this new audio caption?
  • Answer Yes.
  • The music icon should disappear.

The music note indicates that the file has an audio caption.  IIRC some older Olympus cameras used to include these automatically.  What model camera do you have?  Perhaps there is a setting that can remove the audio.

95% of the pictures I am currently importing are from an older Sony. The photos with the music note icon appear to only be from the few photos from and old Samsung s360. Thank you again

Thank you Greg. Worked just as you said.

I just imported another batch of photos into the same catalog. And once again each photo had the music note icon. Now my question is, do you know why the music note icon is added to imported photos. Again thanks for the quick answer, much appreicated.
