PSE 10 Editor settings resets itself

I have a continual problem w/ PSE10 resetting to default. Which means I lose my list of 'recently edited file' list and thumbnails like layer sizes and brushes will change back to default. It is frustrating. Can I do something to make it stay as I set it up?
