PSE 11

My PSE 11 has suddenly stopped working. It will not open. I trashed it and tried to re-install but iget an "Internal errors" message. I am on a mac high sierra 10.3.6; I've been on a "chat" with Adobe CS and he had me try a number of things that did not work and, finally, suggested I post the problem here.
