PSE 14 and MP3 Files

I recently upgraded from PSE 8 on Win XP and imported into PSE 14 on Win 10. Some mp3 files play with the organizer player while others won't play at all. I can't determine any difference in the files. I converted one mp3 to a wave file with Audacity, same results. All mp3 files play fine with windows media player.

  1. Is there some file configuration I need to know about?
  2. Is there a way to specify an external player with organizer instead of the built in one?

Hi,

1.For the mp3 file which doesn't play, does it throw any error on trying to play? If yes, then what? you can attach the screenshot of the error message.

2. No there is no way to specify external player for audio-video playback. This is possible on for image editing.

There is no message. When you press the play button, the player does nothing. The other mp3 files play normally. The files were all produced with Audacity at the same time with the same settings.
