PSE 14 Enhance Tools faults

On a Mac 10.10.5: The Enhance Tools, Clone Stamp Tool etc do not function consistently, unable to pick up selected pixels and cursors, will not edit target elements of image: starting to move photo file around when tools in use.

    Trashing the prefs sometimes helps.

    From the menu click:

    Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor >> Preferences >> General

    Then click the button “Reset Preferences on next launch”

    Quit the Editor app and then re-launch.
