PSE 14 error

I keep getting an error-1 message when I try to open PSE 14.  I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling with no luck. Any suggestions?

    Since you show the option to sign out, you must be signed in and it is not a trial.  Try choosing sign out, restart the computer, open PSE again, and go to Help > Sign In.

    Did you install as an administrator and run as an administrator?

    No I didn't,but someone told me to run it as administrator and it says to run it for a 14 day free trial. Seems like it iis really screwed up.

    If you get the trial message, open the trial. Then from the Editor Menu: Help > Sign in or Help > Activate and you will remove the trial.
