PSE 14 won't open PSD file

I just finished a large project and after saving it I realized that I forgot to add something to it. When I went to reopen it I got a error message that says, "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid photoshop document." I tried rebooting my computer, but still get the same thing. I also download two PSD repair tools with no luck there either. When loading the file up into the repair programs I get the following error messages.

Adobe PSD Repair Kit: Incorrect Channel Count - Must be between 1-24

Remo Repair PSD: Invalid file. Please select another file to repair.

Was wondering if anyone had any other ideas on how I might be able to repair the file before I decide to start all over again with it.
