PSE 15 Crop tool, W and H and Resolution settings will not stay set

I "upgraded" from PSE 12 to PSE 15 and find the PSE 15 Crop tool very frustrating. Unlike in PSE 12 the W and H and Resolution settings will not stay set. Many times when I open a new photo I have to reset the three settings in PSE 15. I find the PSE 12 crop tool much faster to use but I need PSE 15 for the current RAW conversion. Is there a way to fix this defect?

Those settings are 'sticky' for me (PSE15 - Windows 10). Both in the same editing session or in following sessions.

Did you reset the tool preference? (icon for dropdown menu on the top right corner of the tool settings box on the bottom.

It may be necessary to reset all preferences (menu Edit >> Preferences >> General - button 'Reset preferences on next launch'.

Thanks for the suggestion. Running Win 10. I just reset the tool setting and all general settings and still get the same result. As in:

That mean you have tried resetting the tool and the preferences without succeding.
Don't set your option to 'Photo ratio', choose 'custom' instead.
