Question

PSE 15 Thumbnails

Just installed PSE 15. In the organizer the thumbnails are not seperate images with images numbers as previous versions. Thumbnails are touching with no image info. Can this be changed to look like PSE14 and previous versions?

Thanks for reporting the solution, that will help other users of this forum.

Your question is a common one and it's good to know when and how to switch to and from the 'adaptative grid' view and the old 'Detailed' view.

The new adaptative view fills the display without any filename, names nor stack/version sets icons.

Your images show about twice as big in area, which is useful for purely visual searches.

The detailed view gives more info and enables you to expand stacks/version sets.

Both are useful depending on the purpose of the moment.

The real problem is that old users switching to PSE14 or 15 get no notice about the change. Even if PSE14 might read the 'what's new' notice, those switching directly to PSE15 won't see it in the latest version... I understand why the adaptative grid is shown by default to look like other common picture browsing softwares and to show the novelty. My suggestion would rather be to display a warninb dialog when opening the organizer the first time, with a checkbox 'don't show me next time'...
