PSE 16 loaded on new Windows 10 computer Features turned off

I have a brand new Windows 10 HP ENVY Computer and I just Installed PSE15. A number of features like rulers in the Editor, stacking and unstacking in the organizer, and are turned off. I also can't move images within a album to manually order.

I cant figure if I have some setting not right. (I have been using PSE from version 4). Is there a reason the features turned off? I purchased the disk and nothing indicated a trial or any other limited edition.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any ideas?

Hi Michael, thanks for responding.

Yes I use expert mode.

Along with the features being de-activated the program kicks me out saying it is unlicensed. Go to the editor to update the license but for the life of me I cant figure out how. I bought the program at Best so I have the box and I have entered in the right code. It runs for a few days then stops. And naturally there seems to be no way to contact a human at adobe to resolve the issue.

Any ideas? Am I missing something dumb?

Thanks,

Bill

There is no change for the rulers from earlier versions? Are you in Expert mode?

In the organizer, the change was to introduce a new 'adaptative view' to display thumbnails without any file name or date, filling the screen only with images. In that mode you don't see stacks and version sets. Simply switch to the old 'detailed' view with the shortcut Ctrl D.

In the organizer, use the menu 'sort by' in the third line from the top, next to 'All media'; choose 'album order'.
