PSE 19 crashes every time I try to print. I can get through create > photo prints but when I click on local printer the program crashes. Can anyone help with this please?

Yes I am able to print to the updated printer outside of PSE. This is the whole back story if this helps:

Last week I bought a HP Envy laptop with Windows 10. My version of PSE wasn't supported so I upgraded to 2019 version. It worked fine except I didn't have the borderless option when printing to my Epson PictureMate 400 printer anymore. I asked in a Facebook group how to get borderless printing back and was told to update the printer driver, which I did. Then I opened PSE and tried to print a photo to check if the borderless function was back and that's when it started crashing and I haven't been able to use it since. Hope this helps at all.

    Thanks

    Hi ,

Could you try these steps -

    1) Quit the application (if running)

    2)Go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\17.0

    3)rename Editor to Editor_old.

    Now try your print workflow.

If it is still crashing can you share what is behavior if you wanted to print from File menu > Print.

You are requested to please update your printer drivers from your printer's site and then try printing.

I did that this morning and that's when it stopped being able to print

Try re-setting the application preferences. For that, close the application, if already launched.

Keep Alt+Ctrl+Shift pressed and launch the application. Click yes to the prompt that comes, asking for resetting the preferences.

Now try printing. It should work fine.
