Question

PSE 2018 how to relocate photos to new drive

My replacement pc is partitioned in a way that makes more space available on 😧 drive than C:

If I could move my photos to 😧 it would open up a lot of space on C: and I'd have more room for fututure photos on 😧 but....   I don't want to lose all the tags I've used in Organizer.

Would this be possible?   If so, is there a step by step guide to walk me through the process???

Thanks for any wisdom you have to share on the subject.

I'm using Windows 10

You'll have to 'move' your catalog (AND photo files folders) to the  new location.

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html

The new location is generally a new computer, it can be another drive, partition or even master folder.

You create a full backup from the organizer and specify where you want to restore.

Note that this 'move' (really a copy) copies both the image folder tree and the catalog folder under the destination folder you have pointed to.

You are free to move the catalog folder back to the default (hidden) location from the catalog manager.
