Question

PSE 2019 won't permit me to save photo I have worked on in Editor

Hello, I use PSE 2019. All was fine until last night, when suddenly I became unable to save a photo I have worked on to my hard drive. Instead, I get a grayed out screen and I am unable to save the photo. I have 107 free GB on my hard drive, so that would not seem to be the issue. Please help!

Kevin

Kevin, your reply via email will not post the photo you have attached.  You must post via the forum website.  But do let us know whether Peru Bob's suggestion works.

Try saving to an external drive.

What file type?

HI,
Thanks, but I can't even get that far. It is not as if my computer won't
accept a file, I cannot even get off of the gray screen to try to save the
photo anyplace.

Hi Greg,
Thank you for your help with this problem
In PSE, I am processing the image, and I then do some enlarging and
cropping of the photo. the, I resize the photo, but when I do this, the
screen goes gray (see attached screen shot for example).
To answer you other questions, I am using Google chrome now, though I
also sometimes use the new Microsoft Edge system.. I am not using any
layers for these photos....just pretty straight processing.
My harddrive is 980 GB, of which 107 GB are now open and free for use.
Thanks for your thoughts on how to correct this problem, as I now
cannot do any photo processing,
Kevin

What OS are you using?

Have you had a recent OS update?

Can you post a screenshot of the greyed out screen?

What is the size of your hard drive?

Have you tried saving to a different folder?

Are you editing a file with lots of layers?
