PSE 2020 and 2026 both crash while writing metadata.

Loaded 1,943 pics from Galaxy s25.  started adding tags - CTRL-W a group of 340, crash.  had to go row by row, trial and error to find the FIRST pic that caused crash.  Photo will edit, open, clsoe.  But PSE can't seem to write metadata. Won't even tell me why, just crashes the routine and I have to start over. So I skip it.  three lines of pics later, crash.  Then again. And again...  So I have 8 pics out of 340 that don't have metadata, and PSE gives me no comfort that my metadata is saved.

My catalogue contains >43,000 pics.  PSE was a good routine for cataloguing, until it isn't anymore  Also just paid $99 plus tax for the "$77.99" upgrade I clicked on to get 2026, but trurns out no better than 2020 version..

Crickets from Adobe.  Anyone have a CATALOGUE program that works? I dont care about putting artsy

on my pics, I want MY pictures, with reliable metadata/tags.
