PSE 2021 re-install: no more NEF and PSD thumbnails!

After updating to Windows 11 and re-installing PSE 2021, when I want to open images in my folders, the thumbnails for NEF and PSD no longer show, but jpegs, DNGs and tifs do show.

What's going on?

Solved. I installed from the Microsoft Store the free RAW Image Extension and that solved the NEF issue. The converted the few PSD images that I have into tif.

Makes you wonder why Microsoft didn't include the Nikon NEF format from one of the most popular camera manufacturers and PSD, for a long time the most popular profile for Adobe's Photoshop.
