PSE 2025 Context Menu No Edit Layer Style?

I don't know if there is a setting for this and it has just been so long I don't remember.

I used to be able to right click on an a selected shape i placed in a picture and see the style settings option in the context menu, that seems to be gone now, and I have to go up to the layer menu, layer style, style settings.

Is it possible to get this back in the context menu?

Yes, this has been fixed with most recent update as of 2/2/25.  Thanks Adobe!

Seems to be fixed in the latest Photoshop Elements 2025 update, at least here on the Mac side.

Doesn't specifically say it's fixed, however it appears to be.

You can also Alt or Option double click on the Shape layer thumbnail in the

Layers panel to bring up the Style settings dialog.

You are absolutely right.  The item seems to have been removed from the context menu in Elements 2025.  I have no idea whether the change was intentional, but I shall bring it up to Adobe in case it was a mistake.  Since you are the first person I know of to mention it, perhaps Adobe thought that the item isn't getting enough use to include it.

As for the fx button, a style has to be added before it will appear.

Another option to edit an applied style in Elements is to double-click on the fx icon in the layer panel.  This will bring up the  Styles Settings dialog.

I don't have the fx, maybe I am creating it incorrectly?  I just use the shape tool to create a new shape layer, then select the shape.

That feature you refere to is actually part of PS, not pse.   You can still find all those things.  Look where to red arrows are.

It definitely was there in 2024, so i figured there might be a context menu config.
