Question

PSE 7 won't accept my serial number and is extremely tiny

I am trying to install PSE 7 on my laptop. It's a legitimate copy of PSE that I purchased myself, and am simply loading it onto a new laptop. I have the original CD with case and serial number, and all the packaging. I have tried installing with both the original CD and from the link the Adobe helpdesk techs gave me (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop-elements/kb/download-earlier-version-photoshop-elements.html).

Everything seems to install just fine, but then, when I try to start using the software, it asks for a serial number, which makes sense. BUT, when I try to type in the serial number: 1) I can hardly see the box - everything is extremely tiny; 2) it tells me it's an invalid number. Please help. The Adobe helpdesk tech could not help me and PROMISED that I would get assistance from this forum.

    Hi,

For version 7, if you have the CD version with serial number, you have to load PSE from the CD. The download requires a different serial number. Not sure why Adobe did it that way.

As for the display being very small, is your new laptop have a high resolution screen?

If so, PSE 7 was not designed for that display. About the only thing you can try is to increase the scaling in the display settings. [Windows Start -> Settings ->System -> Display - increase Scale and Layout value]

The latest version of PSE can adjust itself for these high density screens.
