PSE 8 cannot open Canon 1100D CR2 files
Is there a plugin available to enable PSE 8 to open Canon 1100D CR2 files in Windows 10?

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility
The 1100D is supported by Camera Raw 6.4 and later which is compatible with Elements 9 and later. So you'll never be able to open those Raw files in Elements 8.
Options:
- Pay to upgrade to Elements 15 - or buy the full version new if it is cheaper, or
- Download the free DNG converter, batch convert all D1100D Raw files to DNG format then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Elements 8. An extra step for you but no extra cost.
