PSE 8 Licensing... [How to reinstall PSE8 on new computer with no disc drive?]

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.  I have had it for many years.  I was right in the middle of an important project when my computer crashed.  I had to buy a new computer.  They tried to move the application over but it says "Licensing for this product has stopped working" ERROR 6.  I've tried restarting but it does not work.  I have the original installation disc but my new computer does not have a disc drive.  I don't know what to do but this is urgent as I need to complete the product I was right in the middle of.  PLEASE HELP!

    You can copy the disk to a thumb drive on another computer, then try installation via USB port.
