I have more questions about these programs. Can you use the program on different users on the same computer? And can you use it via a map on the NAS server and on the computer at the same time? So switch between both folders? And I have seen you can use folder from NAS server for PSE, is it the same for premiere elements? Does this work ok? And with MAC?

What advantages do you expect form a NAS?  Sharing? Safety?

I would forget that idea. A NAS is good as a backup media, for the rest...

    - There is no support for NAS from Adobe for Elements

    - You can't store a catalog on a NAS with Macs.

Thank you for the answer. It's because I have more mb's on the NAS server. My iMac and macbook are full, mostly because of movies (and photo's) on my computer. So my idea is to store my video's on the NAS server (there is a second NAS server as back up) and leave the photo's on my iMac and macbook.

I thought it was possible to use an external folder on NAS server? Is it because of the fact that it's a MAC, is it with windows computer possible?

And what about Lightroom? Is this a program compatible with NAS server/MAC and is this program more suited in my case?

I would ask in the Lightroom Classic forum:

Lightroom Classic CC — The desktop-focused app

If you need more disk space, there are other affordable and efficient external drives solutions. For safety, you need backups, and your NAS are perfect for that.

You can't store catalogs on NAS, which means you can't share your catalogs with other users as you are expecting. But storing media files in the NAS should be possible in Elements as well as in LR.
